About Us

Who are you? My name is Tolliver Gilliland, owner of Tuscaloosa Metal Buildings. I run this company in a part-time capacity as one of my several business ventures. I am employed full time at The University of Alabama as an Audio Visual Engineer. I am married to my wife Emily with 2 children and reside in Tuscaloosa. If you have any questions about me, please feel free to reach out at the number below. I’m an open book and enjoy getting to know my customers on a personal level.

What makes you different than the thousands of other options?Tuscaloosa Metal Buildings is not like any other dealer. For one, I do not have a storefront or sales lot in town. Instead I offer in person site visits for orders within 2 hours of Tuscaloosa for orders over $5,000. So, we’ll figure out the details via text, phone, Facebook, email, etc… and agree on a price first, then I’ll come meet you. I enjoy traveling to each person’s location and meeting you, your family, and your pets. I believe in doing business the right way and this gives us an opportunity to meet face to face and shake hands.

How did you get started in this industry? A friend of mine hired me in 2021 as a sales rep and that eventually led to me starting my own company. We are dealers for 5 manufacturers — and we don’t just represent anybody. I have carefully selected these manufacturers as the ones with the least problems. That means accurate lead times, and satisfactory installations. There are hundreds of options for you to choose from and I get it, it can be stressful. With me operating this business part time, you’re not gonna get any pushy sales calls or messages. If you’re interested, great! If not, no pressure!
